Jess Heintz

Jess Heintz is very excited to be joining the Raiders family for the 2019 season. Jess attended Temple University for Music Education with a French horn concentration and received a Bachelor of the Arts in Recording Industry Studies as a graduate of Butler University. She is classically trained in cello, French horn, and tuba performance.

Her drum corps career includes the Reading Buccaneers and the Boston Crusaders. Jess has previously taught and worked with many schools in both Indiana and Pennsylvania, including Riverside Junior High School, Upper Moreland High School, Council Rock South High School and Great Valley High School.

She currently is the Music and Percussion Coordinator at Abington Senior High School where she has been teaching since 2012. Jess works as a Senior Performance Technician and Audio Supervisor at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.

Ian Bowie

Ian Bowie has been a visual tech at Apex Friendship High School in Apex, North Carolina (2016-17).

He most recently marched with Spirit of Atlanta (2016-18) following a year marching with the Raiders (2015).

Rebecca Voorhees

Rebecca Voorhees is an educator from Hazleton, Pennsylvania. Rebecca was born and raised in Mt. Pocono, and she completed her bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Secondary Education from Wilkes University. While she was an undergraduate student, Rebecca was a member of the university’s civic band and concert choir, and she was an inaugural member of the Wilkes University Marching Colonels.

Over the span of four years, she was a soloist, section leader, and assistant drum major of the marching band. In 2018, she received the 2nd Annual Collegiate Marching Band Festival Scholarship for Musical Excellence.

Rebecca’s experience in drum corps started in 2015 at the Skyliners during their second year of reformation. She marched two more seasons with them before joining Fusion Core in 2018.

Throughout her journey, Rebecca had the ability to work with great instructors in the drum corps activity. She says of her education, “I’ve always been inspired by the diligence and demand of my instructors. Without their support, my experience would never have been as positive or rewarding.” Rebecca hopes to leave an imprint on Raiders just as her instructors have done for her.

Carissa Bryant

Carissa Bryant is very excited to work with the Raiders for the 2019 season! She has been a visual and music tech with both Council Rock High School South (2017-19) and the Central Bucks Marching Titans in 2018. This past season, the C.R. South band earned a PA State Championship as well as a fifth place finish at US Bands nationals, while the Marching Titans earned many high music and high visual awards.

Her marching career started at Council Rock H.S. South, continued through the University of Pittsburgh marching band, and then on to the Jersey Surf (2016-17) on mellophone and the Cadets2 (2018) on trumpet. The Cadets2 earned a second place finish at the 2018 DCA World Championships.

Carissa is a pharmacy technician at Wedgewood Pharmacy in Swedesboro. She hopes to return to school to get her master’s degree in either education, communications, or criminal justice.
