Introducing the Raiders 2020 Drum Majors

Raiders Drum Corps Drum Majors

The Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps is pleased to announce and introduce the drum majors for our 30th anniversary season and 2020 production.

Gregory Beatty is from Bucks County, PA and is a student at the University of Pittsburgh. Since he auditioned for drum major for his high school marching band during his senior year at Council Rock High School South, he fell in love with conducting and leadership. He is also a clarinetist. This will be Greg’s third season as a drum major in DCI.

Candace Rasmussen lives in Carroll County, MD, and is a student at Francis Scott Key High School. Candace is a clarinetist and is excited for her first year of conducting as a drum major for the Raiders.

Jeremy Shamai is from Somerset County, NJ. He was a drum major at his high school, Watchung Hills High School, where he marched and played clarinet for the prior two years.

Raiders executive director, Harlan Landes, notes, “Our student leadership team is already having a positive impact on the corps membership. I’m deeply excited to see the amazing work these young leaders will accomplish with the Raiders this season and beyond.”

In addition to interviews with the drum majors, the camp update video above includes the latest news about our 2020 production as well as reactions from the members following our February rehearsal camp in Salem, New Jersey.

There’s still a chance to audition for the corps. We have positions in the brass, while only a few percussion positions remain. Color guard auditions will be in April, but you can get ahead by auditioning by video (free!) today.
