The Board of Directors of A+ Education and Performing Arts is pleased to announce that Harlan Landes will be the new Executive Director for the Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps.
Harlan served as the Assistant Director for the Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps this past season, during which time he built administrative depth into the organization. Prior to joining the Raiders team, Harlan served four years with the Bushwackers Drum Corps, with three years in the role of Corps Director, overseeing organizational growth and competitive success. Previously, he was a member of the administration and a volunteer with the Crossmen and the Cadets organizations.
“I’m excited to see the Raiders continue to build upon last year’s progress, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve the corps,” said Harlan. “With a priority on the members’ experience on and off the field, the 2020 edition of the Raiders can look forward to a rewarding season.”
Harlan is also the founder and Executive Director of the very successful Plutus Foundation which pools charitable resources for the greater good. His depth of experience in managing nonprofits, both inside and outside of the marching arts, will bring valuable knowledge to move the Raiders organization into the future.
“I am excited that Harlan will continue building on the foundation established over the past 30 years. He and his staff will drive the drum corps to a higher level of excellence in all areas” said Frank Galarraga, President of the Board of Directors for A+.
On behalf of the A+ organization, the Board wishes to offer sincere gratitude to DeLano Bonner for his many years of service and countless hours of personal time and expense donated to the organization. Under his leadership, the Raiders have remained perennial participants in the DCI Open Class circuit, including regular participation in the DCI Open Class championship week activities.
