On December 3, Drum Corps International (DCI) announced its intention to host a series of drum corps events at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis in Summer 2021. The Raiders Drum Corps and its parent organization, A Plus Education and Performing Arts, are enthusiastic about our plans to return to DCI performances.

Since the cancellation of the 2020 DCI tour, the Raiders have been developing a plan for safely returning to the field. Recognizing that our members, staff, administration, and volunteers are tending to pandemic priorities beyond the scope of drum corps, organizationally we are focused on and committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all our participants before we return to our activities.

With a significant majority of our 2020 membership committed to continuing participation, the Raiders are determined to complete the production that began in Fall 2019 when it is safe to do so.

The Raiders administration is working with the DCI Marching Music Health & Wellness Committee, the DCI Open Class Committee, the A Plus Education and Performing Arts Board of Directors, and health and safety experts to expand our health and safety guidelines to incorporate best practices related to the pandemic before executing our plan to safely return to in-person drum corps rehearsals and other events.

We are also monitoring the changing environment pertaining to the pandemic in our home location as well as the locations of any 2021 performance events.

We are certain the Raiders can overcome the loss of our 2020 DCI tour and the changes to the 2021 season, and we are confident that we are positioned to thrive. You can show your support for the Raiders by contributing to our 30th Anniversary fundraising campaign.
